This unique recreation of a Golden Dorado was brought to life from a series of photographs, measurements and detailed descriptions provided from the client's fishing trip to Bolivia.
The process began with crafting a clay sculpture of which a mould was taken and cast in resin. Colour was then applied with airbrush and powder paints followed by a high gloss finish. The fish was then mounted to a framed backboard.
Creating this piece also involved extensive research into the anatomy and movement of the Dorado in its natural environment in order to produce a life-like reflection of the original fish.
